Anyone who truly loves will inevitably suffer, especially from loss. But will they be able to love again after the pain?
A family is tested by the unbearable pain of losing their most beloved member. This shocking event overshadows the lives of its members for years, until Anna, a young doctor, appears on their path. She becomes the connecting link of the unfortunate family and affects the lives of each one in a different way. Everyone will want her help to save themselves, but in the end it is she who will be saved.
Some wounds never heal, they just soften with time. Can love heal wounds or is it not enough? Our past certainly defines us, but how free are we to escape what holds us back?
The only way to truly live is to love, even though we know it will hurt. The only sign that we have truly loved is the mark left by the wound of pain. In the end, is it life itself that purifies, or death?
Konstantina-Paraskevi Douvogianni was born in Kalamata and raised there. She studied at the School of Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. After completing her studies, she returned to her hometown, where she lives and works as a civil engineer to this day. Writing entered her life as a creative need and a way of inner expression. Since then, it has become a part of her.
In November 2017, her first book, a social novella, entitled "Life Has Two Sides" was published by Pigi Standard Editions, which was nominated for the final ten of the PUBLIC 2018 book awards in the category "Greek prose by a debut author".
