How different was he from all of them, or how much the same was he with them? He enclosed them all in his body. He stood on black legs, worked with yellow hands, breathed in a red body, spoke and laughed with his white face.
Now they were all together, next to each other. A colorful person among monochrome people, who nevertheless had their own colors.
He wasn't that different after all, but even if he was, that certainly wasn't so bad!
After all, who can deny that our world is more beautiful when it can be made of many colors?

Biography

Nikos Michalopoulos was born and raised in Athens. He graduated from the Department of Education of the University of Athens and has been working as a teacher in primary schools for gypsy children and returnees for more than fifteen years. In recent years, he has been an envoy of the Ministry of Education to the OAKA and the Model Primary Children's Gymnasium of Kaisariani for their educational programs for schools. His speeches have exceeded seven hundred in schools in Greece, Cyprus and abroad.
He has been a Masters champion in javelin throwing, winning the gold medal at the European Masters Games in Turin, Italy, a twelve-time Greek Champion and a seven-time Balkan Champion. In December 2010, he placed the Greek flag at 6,000 meters of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, raising money for the Nobel Peace Prize-nominated MATHARE YOUTH SPORT ASSOCIATION in Nairobi, which hosts children from the slums of Nairobi.
He is the author of fifteen books, and has been awarded the European OIKOPOLIS Prize and the SEGAS Excellence Award. His books are published by Ankara Publications: The Peaks Within Us, It Takes a Long Time to Become Young, Do You Want to Play?, The Colorful Child, Marathon of Dreams, The Alley That Wanted to Become an Avenue.
