Twilight: The trilogy that captivates us!

The Penumbra It's an awesome trilogy that has captivated us as Stephanie's writing is amazing.

Stephanie recently granted me an interview to talk about her books & relationships.

She also told me about Twilight & the trilogy which, as she says, belongs to fantasy literature.

Let's see what he told me:

1. Tell us a little about yourself and how your love for writing books began?

“First of all, thank you very much for the hospitality on this wonderful page! I come from Paphos, Cyprus, where I live with my husband and young son.

I studied pedagogy at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and continued my studies in Manchester.

There I received my master's degree in Digital Technologies, Communication and Education.

Since I was little, I loved books and reading, and I always wanted to be a writer.

I made my first attempt at writing when I was just eight years old – an attempt which, obviously, did not succeed.

I kept trying though, and my "magic" moment, the moment I had always been waiting for, came much later.

When I was in England for my graduate studies.

That's where I had the inspiration to start writing the "Twilight" trilogy.

Her first two books have been published, while the third is expected soon!

2.What topic do your books deal with?

““The Castle of Tymbri” and “On the Other Side” are the first two books of the “Twilight” trilogy.

The trilogy belongs to the genre of fantasy literature, a genre that is now beginning to flourish in Greece.

As the title of the first book suggests, it concerns a fictional castle, located in an isolated rural area.

No one dares to approach it, because everyone believes it is haunted.

Strange things are said to exist within it, ghosts, monsters, and all sorts of supernatural entities.

The story begins on an August day.

Where three sixteen-year-old teenagers, Roxane, Pyrrhus and Jason, decide, out of curiosity, to enter the castle.

There they realize that the rumors circulating about it are not unfounded.

And that indeed, very strange things are happening inside him.”

3. Relationships are difficult these days. What do you think is the reason for this?

"I believe that relationships between people have always been difficult.

It's just that in today's era, things may have gotten worse, as we've all become absorbed in our fast-paced lifestyle.

Our needs, our wants, and we never sit down to really listen to others.

We don't stop to listen to their problems, we don't listen to their feelings, we don't truly care about their needs.

This, combined with our ever-increasing preoccupation with technology and social networks, I believe isolates us from others around us.

This puts a strain on our already difficult relationship.”

4. The economic crisis affects us all. What is your advice to young people who are just starting their dreams?

"Nothing comes easy in life; everything is achieved with great effort and hard work."

It is, indeed, extremely discouraging for a young person, with dreams and aspirations, to see everything constantly being crushed due to the economic crisis.

To be faced with tightly closed doors every time.

Even so, there is always a ray of light somewhere, and opportunity appears where you least expect it.

What it takes is patience, faith, hard work and dedication to what you do.”

5. Write us your favorite part from the book that you want to share with us.

“Difficult question!

I can't isolate it without spoilers, so I'll quote an excerpt from my favorite descriptions found in the first book...

"He arrived at the hill just before sunset, and enjoyed the sight he saw."

The sun was setting brightly behind the stone peaks of the castle, and the sky had taken on a magnificent purple color.

Orange and purple lines marked it, while the thick clouds had turned purple and formed fluffy patterns on the sky's veil.

The light rain that had been falling earlier had long since stopped, giving a bright fluorescent green color to the grass around the hill.

She took a deep breath, and her nostrils were filled with the smell of damp earth, mixed with the smell of wet grass.

6. Favorite song and phrase at this time

“Favorite song, “Everything I wanted” by Billie Eilish. One of my favorite phrases is “Carpe Diem”, always relevant, even in this difficult time!

Even when we're stuck at home, we can still seize the day and do things we couldn't or didn't have time to do before."

7.What can we expect from you in the future?

“In the near future, two things are in the works: the English translation of my first book, titled “Hemiphos: Timber's Castle” and soon to be published by OnTime Books.

Also, the third book of the trilogy is coming, which is almost finished and will eventually be on its way to publication!”
