When there is love, you feel it.

When there is love, you feel it., my favorite writer Mary Eleftheriadou tells me, giving me the first interview for 2022!

Mary is a sweet girl, with a wonderful pen & she happened to be on the panel with the speakers at my book launch of “And Not Worse!”.

Today she will present her 2 books to us.

Let's see what he told me:

1. Tell us a little about yourself and how your love for writing books began?

“My name is Mary, I am 26 years old and I am a French teacher in addition to being a writer. From a very young age I remember being enchanted by the magical world of fairy tales and later novels. I admired writers and their inspiration. So, when I was 13 I first attempted to write a story that I had in mind but put aside due to school obligations. The right moment came 10 years after I started writing officially, I published the story on Wattpad and later it was released exclusively in print by Ocelotos Publications.”

2.What topic does your book deal with?

“«The most melodic refrain» is a story about first loves. Electra and Petros fall in love during their student years with Athens and their favorite songs as a backdrop. Each chapter corresponds to a song, giving it the appropriate musicality. We also see their friendships and professional careers at the same time. The second one was released at the end of November, entitled «A waltz under the stars"and is connected to the previous one although it can also be read independently."

3. Relationships are difficult these days. What do you think is the reason for this?

"Indeed, romantic relationships are perhaps more difficult. I can't pinpoint exactly what is to blame for this phenomenon. Often, it's the wrong timing and priorities that can put love in a lower position. But fortunately, there are exceptions and people will continue to fall in love no matter how many years pass, no matter how complicated things become."

4. The economic crisis affects us all. What is your advice to young people who are just starting their dreams?

"Not to be discouraged, not to give up at the first difficulty and to strive for their dreams. Beautiful things bloom from difficult times very often and not to lose their mental resilience."

5.Write melet your favorite part of the book that you want to share with us

“Maybe love isn't a writer's trick after all. When there's love, you feel it.”

6. Favorite song and phrase at this time

“After a playlist of songs by the beloved Måneskin, I have “Minefields” on repeat, a wonderful duet by Faouzia with John Legend. From phrases, I will say one from Exupéry’s The Little Prince: “Only with the heart can one see clearly.”

7.What can we expect from you in the future?then?

“I am currently focused on the release of “A Waltz Under the Stars” as it has just been out for a month, but at the same time I have many stories in mind that I would like to see in libraries.”

8.Where can anyone find you?

“On my Facebook page titled “The most melodic refrain/Mary Eleftheriadou””

9.A wish for tinamichaelidou.gr

“I hope this wonderful blog continues to be so loved and that you continue to inspire us, Tina!”
