Description:
We start from the observation that the various currents of utopianism are based on fundamental ideas such as messianism and violence, formulating vague demands such as solidarity and freedom. We attempt to highlight the existence of a “black thread” that runs through specific irrational currents, which are in an eclectic relationship of interaction with each other; and these are none other than messianic eschatology, the regressive tendency of restorationist romanticism, nihilistic violence and individualistic amoralism. A critical issue that will concern us is the observation that some political currents (populism, communitarian-anarcho-socialism, romanticism) have a fundamentally religious constitution. The religious constitution of the anarcho-socialist current constitutes an anti-capitalist “theology of revolution”. In addition to highlighting the eclectic affinity of the aforementioned currents, the clarification of their common philosophical foundations (idealism, voluntarism, metaphysics, anti-dialectics) is of even greater importance. Finally, the issue of the dialectical transcendence (development and abolition) of the achievements of Marxism, as an interdisciplinary research program for the production of theory of the communist movement, is now considered an absolutely crucial issue for the very survival of man in principle, for a livable future of unified humanity.
