A few words about the book
INTENSE PASSIONS and extreme feelings – love, jealousy, sadness, suicidal tendencies – intersect, in the novel by Angela Kastrinaki, with an attempt to understand oneself and others through logical analysis. Relationships are established and relationships are dissolved. People claim their happiness and others try to withstand denials. It happens even in the best families and in the most orderly lives. At one moment the demon of love and upheaval dominates and at another the demon of irony emerges, the one that makes us see the comic side of things, relativizing all feelings.
A novel that thinks about human relationships, while at the same time thinking about the novel itself. Angela Kastrinaki talks about previous works that have as their theme "infidelity" (Goethe's Eclectic Affinities, Penelope Delta's Memories, etc.) and shows how something remains the same and something has changed in our time.
Touching but also with a subtle sense of humor, Kastrinaki's novel seeks to reach the depths of feelings and express them in a language that is both fresh and cultivated.
