Young people today don't flirt.

Young people today don't flirt. the author of the book tells me in today's interview "If You Were Coming"Valentina Terezidis."

In my interview, Valentina talks about her book, relationships, and her future plans.

Let's see what he told me:

1. Tell us a little about yourself and how your love for writing books began?

"A few words about me..

I started somewhere else, and ended up somewhere else.

I think this phrase perfectly expresses me. Ever since I was little, my dreams have been different.

But life sometimes brings things about in such a way that it itself creates the path for us to take.

Perhaps, unbeknownst to us, it is putting us on the right path.

I entered the world of writing before I even realized it.

I always wrote my feelings and thoughts in a notebook, song lyrics and poems.

But it never occurred to me that I could become a writer, which makes me sad.

In 2014, I started writing ''If You Were Here'' with one and only one purpose.

To empty my soul completely.

To do a detailed clean-up of everything I had inside me that was suffocating me, suffocating me, and it was all coming to the surface.

I wanted to write down everything I experienced, everything that hurt me, everything that changed me.

To draw from within myself all my reserves in search of peace, relief and liberation.

I wanted to see truths and decisions made in the past face to face.

What remained in my heart like a permanent tattoo, but the wound kept bleeding over and over again..

Whether we like it or not, some pieces are deeply rooted in our souls and the only way to come to terms with them so we can move on is to look them in the eye and accept them by embracing them.”

2.What topic does your book deal with?

"My first book, ''If you came'' This is a true story.

A teenage girl who, at the age of 17, is faced with her worst nightmare.

After the disappearance of a loved one, everything in her life is turned upside down.

Events and situations that only someone who has experienced them can understand.

Moments and images that haunt your soul.

Days and nights of anguish and despair.

At the same time, an unexpected love affair invades her life.

A love where, despite the obstacles it encounters, it remains alive, struggling to reach happiness.

An unexpected love, where he saves her and kills her at the same time.

The past, present and future are their constant adversaries.

But fate likes to play games, and just when they are about to take their future into their own hands, it takes it back from them again and again.

As you can see, I haven't written just any true story, but about a story that I myself have experienced..."

3. Relationships are difficult these days. What do you think is the reason for this?

"There are so many that I can't limit myself to just a few words.

As the years pass, our lifestyle changes, and so do people.

Young people today don't dare to flirt, to communicate by looking the other person directly in the eyes.

To talk, to discuss for hours, wanting to get to know each other, to "build" a relationship.

Today they do it using social media.

We live in an era where young people and people in general seek online reward and sympathy through a screen.

When a cell phone comes between a couple and not another third person, the emotional distance grows, each person isolates themselves and communication between them begins to be lost.

It is the truth of today.

We give more importance to a virtual reality and forget to live truly...

I think that's how people become alienated, and then relationships are destroyed, marriages break up, and somewhere in between, doors open for third parties.

Of course, beyond these, other factors also play a role that can destroy a relationship.

The financial aspect, professional rehabilitation, the crisis in our days, the ease with which young people simply use the word ''we're breaking up'' and simply end a relationship."

4. The economic crisis affects us all. What is your advice to young people who are just starting their dreams?

"I once believed that it doesn't matter what you want to do in life, as long as you do what you love."

But growing up and looking around me, it's not always enough to do what you love.

Unfortunately, our dreams now have to keep up with the conditions in which we live.

But it's important that what you do fills you up, otherwise you won't be able to perform as you would like, and that way you'll never feel like you're doing something just because you "have to."

5. Write us your favorite part of the book that you want to share with us.

"When they ask me this question, I feel like my legs are being cut off."

It's very difficult for me to decide which of all is my favorite piece.

It's definitely not in the first part of the book for obvious reasons, but from the 2ndthe I have definitely singled out some places.

One of them is definitely the following excerpt.

''My tears have dried.

They had dried up.

Calm flooded my face, and the room?

We welcomed melancholy.

All you could hear were our songs.

Peace permeated the entire room and tranquility sat in a corner, looking at us.

It was a very strange and endless night as pain silently prevailed over happiness.

Sitting at his feet and nestled in his arms, we suddenly began to softly sing.

We knew every verse, every word.

We knew what the next song was before it even started.

Our voices were clothed in sadness and an overwhelming emotion overwhelmed our every willingness to smile.

We sang softly, looking into each other's eyes, incessantly, without stopping.

His eyes, the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

These eyes...

They enchanted you...

Our voices connected, they became one.

They were sinking you into your deepest world.

Like a caress that gave birth to warmth in our souls.

At times, my eyes, on their own initiative, released lonely, painful tears.

Some of our songs, most of them, were intense. They spoke directly to our souls.

The atmosphere, from a hollow peace, turned into a rotten bridge, where it was now dangerous.

The tears turned from drops into a torrent, flowing like a wild river, dragging everything with it.

And suddenly?

As my soul erupted and our bodies embraced each other, our lips again locked without our approval.

The passion of our love was reborn in our own sadness.

Every kiss had more passion.

Every breath we took became heavier and heavier.

The atmosphere changed from one of sad fate to one of hot-blooded sin.

Their love so intense yet so weakened.''"

6. Favorite song and phrase at this time

"At this time..

There are many things I could name, the truth is, the music that expresses me perfectly is the artistic one, but if I had to point out just one favorite song then I would say... ''Pou na ekkho'' by Antonis & Yiannis Vardis.

One of the most favorite.

"A phrase I always say is ''Never say never'' but what I firmly believe in and always say is ''Do what your heart tells you!'' Not original at all, but it is the strongest."

7.What can we expect from you in the future? ;

"I continue to write, so hopefully, another book from me will be released soon."

1 has already been completedthe part and I continue to write part 2the a place where its continuation is also.

I can't hide how impatient I am and how I await the moment when I will see this in print and hold it in my hands."

8.Where can anyone find you? ;

“On my Instagram and Facebook pages. (Valentina Terezidi).

Today it is the first place you can locate anyone.”
